# Dean Rush

Dean Rush is pleased to have the opportunity to get to know you. Thank you for caring about the potential of carrying Christ into the workplace. Here is some information about Dean.

He grew up on a farm in Indiana, obtained a pilot license as a teenager then spent eleven years as an Air Force pilot. After the military he founded several aviation businesses, spent time with American Airlines, and later retired as president of Fairchild Dornier, an aircraft manufacturing company.

Dean’s undergraduate degree was a BA in psychology from DePauw University. He later obtained master’s degrees in public administration from Golden Gate University and Religious studies from Liberty University. Following seminary, Dean spent 15 years as an executive pastor. Presently, he serves as the executive director of Faith Breakthroughs, a non-profit, whose objective it is to get Christ into the home and workplace. The job also involves speaking to many organizations about using biblical principles in business.

Dean currently serves on the board of trustees at Hallmark University in San Antonio, Texas and as an adjunct professor at Liberty University. In both organizations Dean emphasizes the need to develop and use biblical principles in all phases of life.

Dean and his wife Vickie have been married more than 51 years. They have two children, and 4 grandchildren. The most applicable verse for life that he asks people to rely on is Deuteronomy 31:6 — “*Be strong and courageous. Do not panic before them. For the Lord, our God, will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you or abandon you even in the face of your enemy.*” (NLT)
