# About Faith Breakthroughs — Welcome

**"Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed."** — Proverbs 16:3 (page cited Proverbs 16:13)

Faith Breakthroughs is dedicated to incentivizing believers to take the good news of Christ to the workplace. The goal is to offer some practical methods of communicating your faith through example, action, and word.

## Being a Missionary In the Workplace

### The Need Is Real

When people have hope that can be gained through faith, they find confidence in their lives. Faith in Christ provides hope in a broken world. Only 27% of American families attend church once a month and 22% of our citizens do not believe there is a God. Recent research by the University of Oxford suggests that the average person passes by around 1,000 people per week. If you are a part of the 27% there is an opportunity to share your faith with hundreds of people outside the church who may never have the opportunity to hear the gospel. **You**, as a believer, can be **a Missionary to your workplace.**

"Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the proof of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1) Your demonstration of Faith is a key to success in reaching people for Christ.

You may be the only conduit to Christ for people you encounter. Relaying the message of Christ is essential. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do," Ephesians 2:10 (CSB).

Encouragement by sharing God's word through action, exhibiting by example, and living your faith has the greatest probability of reaching the masses for Christ. "Each one of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to build him up." Romans 15:2 / 15:4 (page citation mixed).

### Practices That Set an Example

Religious practices vary widely, from prayer and meditation to fasting and pilgrimage. These practices may help people deepen their spiritual experience but only faith in Christ can provide lasting fulfillment in life. "Now there are different ministries, but the same Lord. There are different activities, but the same God produces each gift for each person for the common good" — 1 Corinthians 12:4–6.

Check out the video pages to see some men who made Christ the center point of their business.

### Faith and Ethics

In business, faith provides a moral compass for decision making and guides people in making ethical choices. By living your faith at work, you provide an example to others of the satisfaction in knowing Christ. You can be the light that will guide people to success.

"Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him listen.... Pay attention to what you heard by the measure you use, it will be measured to you." — Mark 4:21 (CSB)
